Welcome to CTG!

The Center for Translational Genomics (CTG) offers expertise and service in genomic technologies to promote translational research projects or projects aiming at clinical implementation of new diagnostic assays in healthcare.

CTG was established 2017 and is focusing mainly on next-generation sequencing (NGS-) based technologies, but service is also provided using other genomics technologies.

CTG works closely with the Center of Molecular Diagnostics (CMD) at the Division of Laboratory Medicine, Region Skåne, to facilitate clinical implementation of new diagnostic assays within healthcare. The close collaboration between CTG and CMD provides optimal synergies to transfer important knowledge between research and clinical diagnostics.

CTG is also the host and forms, together with CMD, the Clinical Genomics Lund facility, one of four facilities in the Diagnostics Development platform within the infrastructure of Science for Life Laboratory (SciLifeLab). SciLifeLab is a national center for molecular biosciences with focus on health and environmental research Clinical Genomics Lund is a strategic initiative between the Medical Faculty at Lund University and the Division of Laboratory Medicine, Medical Services, Region Skåne.

CTG constitutes one of many infrastructures at the Medical Faculty available for researchers at Lund University.
